Here is a man with focus.
Dave started a franchise while in College, after running a very successful business. He worked his way up through that brand. He thoroughly enjoyed the challenges and learning along the way. For this reason he now guide owners through the challenges of business ownership. He most often finds himself in conversations surrounding time, money, & people.
Outside of being a business coach, Dave is a dedicated triathlete and outdoor enthusiast. [provided by Dave LeVeque]
MK: Dave, how would you describe your journey? Has it been smooth sailing or have there been some struggles along the way?
DL: I have had many challenges along the way. Managing my priorities has been one of the most important lessons I had to learn along the way. There is always something to do in a business and if you put your time into the wrong place your business won’t grow.
I’ve also made some bad hiring decisions in the past – which created additional work and were damaging to both the organization and the individual.
MK: What you and the team at Cultivate Advisors have accomplished is quite impressive. Tell our readers more, for example what have you found to be the keys to running a successful business?
DL: I have found that time, money, & leadership of people are 3 of the most important aspects needed to run a business. I have found a lot of success in helping others make good decisions around all 3 of these areas.
MK: What are some of your goals this year? Any big plans?
DL: I look to find harmony in my life – I find success when I can distribute my time in a way that allows me to keep the things most important to me in harmony. I am working towards a better balance here as over time I plan to work less and spend more time on family and hobbies.
I am happy to create a scenario where I can hit success everyday – my management system surrounding my priorities and my honesty with myself day to day make this possible. It’s never good to end a day with a long list to enter the next one!
MK: With a busy schedule, how do you spend your time keeping up to date or sharpening your business skills?
DL: I really enjoy both podcasts and Blinkist – I have currently been quite focused on Gino Wickman’s book “Traction”
