Do we have the tools we need to be adults? | Finding 10,000 Ways | Ep006
July 14, 2020
We had all intentions of talking about marketing and business.
But the circumstances of the day lead our conversation to an open chat about society, culture, and our experiences.
A goal of “Finding 10,000 Ways” is to reflect on our failures as part of our journey to professional success and self-improvement.
We hope we approached the topics in this conversation with an open mind and compassion. We talked about the short-comings and inequalities of our society and how we, individually, impact the narrative.
We don’t have all the answers but if we each practice awareness, it can be the golden skeleton key we need to open many doors.
More often than not, in life it is the small things that make a big impact. And, sometimes all it takes is to start by having conversations that may make us feel a bit uncomfortable.
To paraphrase Matt, we expect kids to be adequate at math and reading. But we don’t know our own minds. We’re better equipped to grasp things like taxes, than we are things that affect us. We think that’s horrifying.
