Emotion is the motivator.
No matter what decision we make, they all start with an emotional trigger.
According to Business Advisor, Drew Brogden of Cultivate Advisors, goal setting is the first step to your business’ success. And, understanding how your goals are affected by your emotion is critical.
– Are your goals focused on behavior or outcomes?
– Are your goals focused on immediate or delayed gratification?
– Are your goals focused on your values or objects?
How have your emotions impacted what you’re striving for?
In this interview breakdown Drew shares how business is in his DNA, going back to his grandma who was a doll artist.
On his journey of success, Drew has made his share of mistakes.
One of his early experiences with messing up was his experience at College Pro (the original student-run painting company).
His first year, he unintentionally sold the wrong service. Then when it came time to produce, it quickly became clear to his customer that he didn’t know what he was doing.
This was when Drew experienced first hand the importance of owning your mistakes.
We all make them. It’s what comes next that determines your success.
